Upon arrival in Cusco, guests will be warmly welcomed by their private guide and chauffeur before being escorted to their hotel in comfort and style.
The remainder of the day is reserved for a gentle acclimatization to the altitude. Guests are invited to relax in the tranquil surroundings of their hotel, remain well hydrated, and gradually settle into the serene rhythm of the Andes.
For those wishing to begin discovering the city, a leisurely private stroll through Cusco’s historic center may be arranged. Highlights include the remarkable Hatun Rumiyoc stone, followed by an elegant dinner overlooking the atmospheric Plaza de Armas.
Day TwoSacsayhuamán, Qoricancha, Cathedral, and Pisac
The day begins with an 8:00 a.m. private hotel pickup and a guided visit to Qoricancha, the former Temple of the Sun and one of the most sacred and important spiritual centers of the Inca Empire.
Guests will then visit the Cusco Cathedral, a magnificent example of colonial architecture that houses an impressive collection of centuries-old religious art and treasures.
The journey continues to the remarkable Sacsayhuamán archaeological complex, renowned for its massive stone walls, exceptional Inca craftsmanship, and sweeping views over Cusco.
In the afternoon, guests travel to the Sacred Valley to explore the hillside ruins of Pisac, celebrated for its beautifully preserved agricultural terraces, ancient temples, and breathtaking panoramic views. If time allows, there will also be an opportunity to browse the vibrant local market, known for its colorful textiles and handcrafted goods.
The day concludes with a comfortable transfer and arrival at the hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Day ThreeDay 3 — Ollantaytambo
After breakfast, depart at approximately 9:00 a.m. for Ollantaytambo, one of Peru’s best-preserved Inca towns. Once an important administrative and ceremonial center, Ollantaytambo is known for its impressive terraces, magnificent stone temples, and an intricate water system that remains in use today.
Enjoy a traditional Pachamanca lunch, prepared in the Andean earth oven using heated stones, at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, spend a relaxed time discovering the village. Stroll through its charming stone streets, browse elegant artisan shops, and experience the timeless atmosphere of this remarkable living Inca settlement.
Day FourDay 4 — Machu Picchu
Early this morning, private transportation will take guests to the train station, where they will board a scenic train to Machu Picchu. The approximately 90-minute journey through the Urubamba Valley offers beautiful views of winding rivers, dramatic mountains, and lush cloud forests.
Upon arrival, a private guide will lead an engaging two-hour tour of the legendary citadel, sharing insights into its fascinating history, spiritual significance, and remarkable architecture. Guests will then have time to explore at their own pace, take photographs, and enjoy the atmosphere of this extraordinary site.
After the visit, guests will return to Aguas Calientes for leisure time and lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, they will board the return train before continuing by private transfer to their hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Day FiveMoray, Maras Salt Mines, and Chinchero
The day begins with a private pickup from your hotel in the Sacred Valley. Your first visit is to Moray, a remarkable Inca agricultural laboratory formed by a series of perfectly sculpted circular terraces. Each level created its own microclimate, revealing the ingenuity and sophistication of Inca farming.
You will then continue to the Maras salt mines, where thousands of gleaming salt pools cascade gracefully down the mountainside. Fed by a natural spring and tended by local families for generations, these salt pans preserve a tradition dating back to pre-Inca times.
The journey continues to the charming village of Chinchero, celebrated for its colonial church, archaeological remains, and rich textile heritage. At a local weaving center, you will discover ancient Andean techniques, natural dyes, and the meaningful symbolism woven into each beautiful creation.
In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic return to Cusco, carrying with you the quiet beauty and enduring traditions of the Sacred Valley.
Day SixDeparture
At the appropriate time, guests will be transferred to Cusco International Airport for their return journey home.
